This is a repost from my first blog. Cameron is now 6 and we have been blessed with 4 grandchildren, 3 fun boys and one sweet girl.

Fun and Easy Baby Projects!

This spring and summer has been crazy busy. This time of year is our busy season at work and busy we have been. The most exciting and wonderful thing that happened is that Tom and I became grandparents for the first time and we could not be happier.

I thought, for this post,  I would share some of the projects I did for our Cameron.

All Babies can use a Bandana Drool Bib!

The Bandana Bib Pattern I found was very easy. Check it out on MaryMarthaMama.com.  I found some cute fabrics including this Dinosaur one at our local Walmart and terry fabric for the backs. These will  be drooled on so I wanted to make sure they were very soft and absorbent.

The original pattern I used does not seem to be available anymore so I found another that is similar.

Right Sides Together

Pin and Sew, making sure to leave an opening!

After it is sewn, turn it through the opening so the right sides are out. You can whip stitch the opening or what I did was iron the bandana then top stitch it close to the edge.
The only change I made to her pattern was that I used Velcro instead of snaps.
I thought they came out really cute and it was so much fun to make! I sent these as one of my shower gifts.

The next project I did was for my first visit to meet my sweet Cameron. I wanted to make something for his room which has a dinosaur in space theme.

Scherenschnitte Fun!

I found this free pattern on Pinterest. It was posted from the Papercutting Blog.
I love Scherenschnitte.  This blog has tons of really awesome patterns, many of them are free. The one I chose is actually pretty simple compared to many of the patterns she offers. I just downloaded the pattern, printed it on the paper I chose, cut it out, printed Cameron’s information on the background paper and put it together. Make sure to use a glue stick and not liquid glue. You want it to be smooth. Also, every piece of the design does not have to have glue. The frame will hold everything together.
Cute! Right!
I thought I had a better picture but I think you get the idea!

4th of July DIY Shoes!

Finally, something I enjoyed doing for my children. SHOES! Cameron and his parents were visiting for the 4th of July weekend. I could not resist making these cuties.

Vintage Buttons Add to the Charm!

You can find all the information on these cuties, including the link to the free pattern on the That’s Sew Nina Blog. She also has several other free patterns and adorable baby ideas. The only change I made was that I lined the inside of the shoe. I don’t like any raw edges showing or rubbing the little baby feet.
Thank you for visiting and taking the time to read my post. I hope you are inspired to try out some projects for your own children or grandchildren!
